Rabocard
Rabobank clients in the Netherlands can help achieve a better climate by using the new Rabobank credit card ('Rabocard'). This is because we will invest an amount in a climate project each time that you as a member make a payment with the card. We will select all the projects in close consultation with the World Wildlife Fund.
How will I help improve the climate?
The new card features a climate function. A specially developed calculation method is used to convert the total CO2 emission of your purchases into a cash amount. For example, filling up with petrol equals a much greater emission of CO2 than buying tulips at the florist. We will then make a contribution to climate projects in order to combat the effects of the emission of these harmful substances.
In partnership with the World Wildlife Fund
We have entered into a three-year partnership with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) in order to ensure that the money goes to the right projects. Their expertise is invaluable for our contribution to improving the climate.
Gold Standard Projects
The WWF has introduced the Gold Standard. It is a quality standard for sustainable energy projects in developing countries. The Gold Standard Projects (GSPs) that we support have consequently all earned the WWF’s extremely stringent quality label.
