Rabobank’s all-finance approach to banking is reflected in our organisational structure.
There is a high degree of collaboration between our various parts, from our local banks to our specialist units. Working together enables us to provide both our domestic and international customers with an extensive array of services in the following areas; domestic and international retail banking, wholesale banking, asset management and investment, leasing, real estate, and insurance.

In the Netherlands there are 153 local Rabobanks, all of which are independent self-governed, cooperatives that are able to act quickly and decisively in the interests of their members and customers. Their sphere of activity is limited to their own direct area, fostering close involvement with local customers and the local community. These Rabobanks enjoy close relationships with key local institutions and use part of their profits to promote the economic and social well-being of their communities.
There are currently around 1,100 neighbourhood Rabobank branches in the Netherlands, which together form the closest banking network in the Netherlands. There are nearly 3,100 Rabobank cash dispensing machines throughout the Netherlands. More than 29,000 staff work for local Rabobanks and their neighbourhood branches - making Rabobank truly your local bank.

Rabobank Nederland is the supporting business for the independent local Rabobanks, facilitating and advising its associated banks on matters of strategy and policy, marketing and product development, and information technology. Around 6,100 staff work at Rabobank Nederland.
Rabobank Nederland also acts as the central housebank for the local Rabobanks, balancing their liquidity differences, acting on their behalf in the capital market, and supervising their management and administration.
Rabobank Nederland has at its disposal the specialised resources of its subsidiaries - Robeco Group, De Lage Landen, Schretlen & Co. and Obvion – all of whom support Rabobank’s unique all-finance approach to banking and business.
Rabobank International – the wholesale banking business and international retail banking business – employs more than 15,000 staff world-wide and serves clients from 27 countries.
Besides regional activities, Rabobank International has divisions that are directed globally. These include Global Financial Markets, Structured Finance, Leveraged Finance, Direct Banking, Telecom Media & Internet and Trade & Commodity Finance.
Rabobank International focuses on food & agri customers. The Irish ACCBank is a 100% subsidiary of Rabobank International and in Poland, Rabobank International owns a 59% interest in Bank BGZ.
In addition, Rabobank International has interests in private equity.
