Culture

Rabobank has been an active supporter of Dutch culture for many years. Our sponsorship of a wide range of cultural activities is a perfect fit with our position as a bank that is firmly rooted in society and that invests in the community on a sustainable basis. More than 90% of our local banks sponsor local arts, museums and performing arts.

Cultural sponsorship forms part of our commitment to inspiring people and enabling them to achieve their ambitions.  One of the cornerstones of our cultural sponsorship policy is education and the development of talent.

Sponsoring cultural projects not only helps to preserve Dutch cultural heritage, but also provides us with an interesting platform for corporate hospitality events, through which we can share Dutch art, music and history with our clients.

Classical Music

The cultural organisations we choose to support are recognised for championing values such as creativity and innovation. Through our work with leading cultural partners, Rabobank supports the development and conservation of the Netherlands’ cultural heritage, helping to make it accessible to as many people as possible.

For this reason, in 2011, we chose to extend our support to classical music through a new partnership with the Dutch Bach Society. This involves sponsoring classical music concerts, including an annual Rabo Christmas Concert, as well as supporting the society’s education programme, which introduces primary and secondary school pupils to the works of Bach.

In addition, we have one of the leading corporate collections of contemporary Dutch art, which is open to the public in a dedicated gallery space at our new administrative centre in Utrecht.

We also support art exhibitions across the country, and, until end-2010 we had a long-standing partnership with the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam.
