Our progress in the field of CSR is outlined in our extensive Annual Report. Awards, assessments and best practices in the area of CSR also attest to our achievements in this field. Rabobank’s key CSR milestones of recent years are:

2011

• Rabobank and the World Wildlife Fund sign a global partnership agreement on 30 March 2011, stating our commitment to partner in projects around the world and jointly develop activities in the Dutch market.

2010

• Rabobank study entitled 'Sustainability and security of the global supply chain' is published, highlighting the key challenges relating to food security and sustainability of the global food supply chain.
• In order to make the value chains in 12 particularly sensitive sectors more sustainable, policy is formulated in the first half of 2010, serving as a guideline for clients regarding sustainability.
• For the third consecutive year, Rabobank wins the CSR Transparency Benchmark award, presented by the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs for the most comprehensive and transparent sustainability report.
• Ethisphere names Rabobank as one of only three banks on its list of the world’s most ethical companies. 

2009

• Rabobank achieves an A+ Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) classification for its 2008 sustainability report. Forum Ethibel includes Rabobank’s bonds in the Ethibel Pioneer and Ethibel Excellence investment register. Both registers are the basis for the European Ethibel Excellence label that is awarded exclusively to investment funds and financial products.
• Rabobank earns first place in the 2008 Transparency Benchmark awards presented by the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, recognising the most comprehensive and transparent sustainability report.

2008

• The Rabobank Group earns the right to call itself climate neutral.
• An A+ classification for the 2007 sustainability report is awarded by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).
• Rabobank achieves excellent sustainability assessments from Vigeo, Oekom Research and Sustainalytics, meeting these rating agencies’ highest sustainability requirements.
• Rabobank is the highest-ranking financial services provider in the 2008 Intermediair Image Survey, as well as the most popular employer for female university graduates, higher vocational education graduates and young people entering the labour market.
