Rabobank in business

Rocket (Rabobank One Click Electronic Trading) is Rabobank's new electronic platform for trading foreign exchange (FX). It provides executable streaming prices for FX Spot, Outright Forwards and Swap transactions. Rocket is an internet-based platform requiring Microsoft Internet Explorer as a browser to access the application.

FX Spot Trading

Rocket displays real time FX Spot trading prices for 342 different currency pairs.

In the first example shown below, for all major currencies, there is a permanent stream of prices to trade on.

• Select “FX Spot” tab
• Choose the currency pair you wish to trade
• Input the amount you wish to transact up to your limit (there is no minimum amount)
• Choose which currency amount you wish to trade
• Double click on the rate being displayed to execute your transaction
• The trade details will be displayed in your trade blotter    

In the second example, a more obscure currency pair MXN/PLN is requested. Use the same procedure as before, except you will need to press the button saying RFS (Request For Stream) to activate the stream of prices. This executable stream will be available to trade for up to 120 seconds, if you haven’t dealt before the stream expires, you can repeatedly re-request for another stream

Outright Forwards

As in the example below, all outright forwards are Request For Stream

• Select the “FX Forwards” tab
• Choose the currency pair you wish to trade
• Input the amount you wish to transact up to your limit (there is no minimum amount)
• Choose which currency amount you wish to trade
• Choose the Forward date you wish to trade either from the date picker or the tenor dropdown
• Press the [RFS] button 
• An executable price stream for the Forward rate will be displayed for 120 seconds in large font, with the Spot rate and Forwards points also being displayed above for your reference
• Double click on the rate being displayed to execute your transaction
• The trade details will be displayed in your trade blotter    

• FX Forward Trading     

Fx Swaps

As in the example below, all Fx Swaps are Request For Stream

• Select the “FX Swaps” tab 
• Choose the currency pair you wish to trade
• Input the amounts you wish to transact for the near and far legs. If the amounts and not the same (uneven) uncheck the “even” box
• Choose which currency amount you wish to trade
• Choose the near and far forward dates you wish to trade either from the date pickers or the tenor dropdowns
• Press the [RFS] button 
• An executable price stream for the Forward points will be displayed in large font, with the Spot rate displayed above, and the Far rate displayed below for your reference
• Double click on the rate being displayed to execute your transaction
• The trade details will be displayed in your trade blotter    

• FX Swap Trading  

Settings

As in the example below, the user can switch the application into “Safe Mode” by clicking on the padlock to lock and unlock the live trading panels

To configure the layout and number of panels, click on the Settings buttons to modify the existing design. Any number of trading panel can be used simultaneously to request and trade on executable prices

Term and Conditions of Use

A generic agreement for the terms and conditions of all transactions executed over the electronic platform will need to be accepted by the customer before trading starts
