Outlook 2008
'Outlook 2008' is Rabobank's highly esteemed annual publication on the financial and macro-economic forecast for 2008.
Monthly Outlook
In the 'Monthly Outlook' (June, 2008) you can find the latest key economic indicators of the Netherlands. Also available for review is the 'Economic Quarterly Report' (June, 2008).
Dutch Housing Market
House prices continue to rise on a year-on-year basis. Compared to the previous
quarter this is a limited, incidental price drop from an average of € 246,000
down to € 244,000. Upmarket houses are currently rising faster than cheaper
houses. For a total of seven quarters the number of sales transactions has been
declining, which is bad news for market activity and movement on the property
ladder. At the same time, the housing supply is increasing, which highlights the
mismatch on the Dutch housing market. On a more positive note, there has
been a 4.4% drop in the number of forced house sales compared to last year.
