Piet Moerland

Piet Moerland (1949) is a banker and authoritative scholar in the field of corporate finance and corporate governance. He has served as a member of the Executive Board of Rabobank Nederland since 2003. As Chairman, he is responsible for Audit Rabobank Group, Supervision, Legal and Tax Affairs, Knowledge and Economic Research, Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Piet Moerland is married and has two children.


Education

1978Dissertation ‘Firm behaviour under taxation’, Erasmus University Rotterdam. Graduated cum laude. In 1982 the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences selected the dissertation to receive the quadrennial Winkler Prins Award in Economic Sciences (together with W.J. Keller).
1973Economics, Erasmus University Rotterdam. Major: Business Economics, Main subject: Corporate Finance. Graduated cum laude.
