Member of the Executive Board of Rabobank Nederland (since 2002) Piet van Schijndel (1950) earned a degree in Business Administration from the Eindhoven University of Technology.

Immediately following graduation in 1975, he began his career at Rabobank Nederland as a Management Consultant. He was appointed Head of Administration Insurance two years later. In 1979 he took up a corporate staff position within the Insurance and Travel Directorate and was appointed head of this directorate in 1986. He transferred to Interpolis in 1990 where he was appointed Vice-Chairman of the Executive Board.
 
He served as Chairman of the Executive Board of Interpolis from 1998 to 2002. Van Schijndel has been a member of the Executive Board of Rabobank Nederland since 1 December 2002. He currently also holds a number of directorships on behalf of Rabobank including serving as Chairman of the Supervisory Board at De Lage Landen and Obvion and as a member of the Supervisory Board at Robeco. 

Van Schijndel also fulfils numerous auxiliary positions including being a member of the Board of the Netherlands Red Cross, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Theaters Tilburg, a member of the Supervisory Board of St. Elisabeth Hospital Tilburg, a member of the Supervisory Board of CSU, Chairman of the Advisory Board Dutch E-work Foundation (EwerkForum), a member of the Advisory Board of the Industrial Engineering & Innovation Sciences Faculty of the Eindhoven University of Technology and Vice-Chairman of the Oisterwijk-Haaren chapter of the Red Cross.
