Financial Statements - standard bank confirmation
Statutory and regulatory provisions require auditors to state a number of matters in clients’ financial statements that, in addition to the customer, are often only known to the bank. The NIVRA (Koninklijk Nederlands Instituut van Registeraccountants – Royal Netherlands Institute of Registeraccountants) and the NovAA (Nederlandse Orde van Accountants-Administratieconsulenten – Dutch Order of AA-Accountants) have together with the Vereniging van Nederlandse Banken (Dutch Banking Association) prepared a standard form on which the customer or its auditor submits a number of questions to the bank.
Application procedure
The application form can be used to apply for the standard bank confirmation via e-mail or fax. The standard bank confirmation can also be provided to third parties (your auditor) if required. The information must be provided in full and truthfully by the persons authorised to do so according to the Chamber of Commerce.
You will find the application form for the standard bank confirmation in the box ‘related information’. Only applications completed in full can be processed.
Standard Bank Confirmations for non-Rabobank International customers, in principal, will have to be processed by their respective Member Banks. Member Bank’s Client advice departments are assisting customers with their requests. Financial institutions and Rabobank related companies will need to contact their respective Rabobank International account managers or support staff.

Processing time
We will do our utmost best to process your application within ten working days (after payment or direct debit authorisation). The standard bank confirmation will be sent to you by postal service. Applications that are incomplete or incorrect will not be processed.
Fees
The following fees are payable for the application for a standard bank confirmation:
When entity is established and physically located in the Netherlands*:
- 1 to 5 entities: EUR 119.00 (100.00 + 19% VAT)
- 6 to 10 entities: EUR 238.00 (200.00 + 19% VAT)
- 11 to 15 entities: EUR 357.00 (300.00 + 19% VAT)
Etc.
All other entities are exempted from Dutch 19% VAT.
Banks and Rabobank affiliated companies are exempted from paying Standard Bank Confirmation fees.
The application form for a standard bank confirmation can be submitted if you hold an account with Rabobank. The amount payable will be debited from your account.
If you do not hold an account with Rabobank, please remit the amount payable to account number 1009.11.668, stating: SBV – date (period to which application applies) – name of business. Your application will lapse if the amount payable is not received within 14 days.
