Rabobank offers payment and account services via Network and Relationship Management Financial Institutions. We use distribution channels such as EBA, Target (RTGS) as well as our correspondent network to process your payment order.
Payment Clearing Systems
The Euro Banking Association (EBA) acts as an initiator and assists in the development of European-wide payment infrastructures. Banks which have their registered office or a branch office in a Member State of the European Union as well as banks, which have their registered office in one of the EU Accession countries as well as in any EEA Member State, are eligible for membership of the Association. Within EBA you have with Euro 1, Step 1 and Step 2 various options to reach the bank of the beneficiary depending on how this bank is connected to EBA
Trans-European Automated Real-time Gross settlement Express Transfer system (TARGET). TARGET is the RTGS system for the Euro, offered by the Eurosystem. It is used for the settlement of central bank operations, large-value Euro interbank transfers as well as other Euro payments. It provides real-time processing, settlement in central bank money and immediate finality. Target is available daily, with the exception of week-ends and public holidays.
