Australian Cattle Industry July 2009
Indonesia has been one of the success stories for the Australian cattle industry, says a new FAR report released today. Indonesia's demand for beef has risen over recent decades and has, to a large extent, been satisfied through increased Australian live cattle imports. This increase in live cattle sales has provided pivotal support to the cattle industry in northern Australia.
