The EU biofuel landscape April 2009
FAR has published a comprehensive report that explores the sweeping changes in the EU biofuels policy. The report also explores factors that the current generation biofuel producers in the EU need to take into consideration going forward. The new legislation, adopted on 18 December last year as part of the EU’s Climate Action and Renewable Energy Package (also referred to as the ‘20-20-20 package’), will replace the 2003 Biofuel Directive which is due to expire end of 2010.
