Rabo Ag Focus - US corn

Michael Whitehead, FAR analyst in New York, writes in his Rabo Ag Focus on Corn that a strong demand for corn accompanied by attractive profit margins is likely to lead to a sustained effort to increase the current level of supply. Such a result could be achieved through a mixture of increased acreage, improvements in yield trends or more intensive corn growing, possibly through greater use in crop rotation. However, with increasing domestic demand and reduced stocks there will be greater volatility in global pricing. Read more about the corn market in the U.S. in this publication.
