FAR analysts working in Rabobank's Sao Paulo office have written a report on the MATOPI region in the northeast of Brazil, which is a fast growing agricultural region, not in the least because of its low land costs. It exhibits considerable potential for the expansion of soybean production and exports. The authors find that for current market participants, and for potential new entrants with a long term view, the MATOPI region represents an investment opportunity worthy of further consideration.
