For Corporates
The Rabo Carbon Bank develops both carbon credit- and reduction unit-generating projects which can be sold to corporates for use towards their carbon accounting, while generating additional revenues for farmers.
Our initiatives

Moving to Net zero
Leading companies and organizations across the globe are becoming aware of climate change and are starting to take responsibility. Many of these companies are making pledges to transition to a net zero carbon economy and, therefore, agree to:

Scope 3 emissions
In the Food and Agri value chains, most emissions occur at the food production level. Large Food and Agri corporates who might not directly be involved with production are still partially responsible for bringing products with a carbon footprint to the market. A company's indirect involvement of emissions is often referred to as their Scope 3 emissions. Scope 3 emissions include all indirect emissions that occur in other stages of a company’s value chain. We help large Food and Agri companies achieve, monitor, and verify carbon reductions within their supply chains. See Decarbonizing Supply Chains for more information.
Offsetting unavoidable emissions
Prevention and reduction would be the preferred strategy for every corporate. Unfortunately, in everyday practice, not all emissions can be reduced to zero. For the emissions that are unavoidable, offsetting via the purchase of high-quality carbon credits is a good option. If we were to wait until all emissions could be reduced, we would lose valuable time.
To meet this need, the Rabo Carbon Bank is developing carbon credit-generating projects which support farmers in their transition to lower their environmental footprint and generate carbon credits through attractive financing solutions, extension services, and access to a marketplace to sell their credits. See Carbon Farming, Trees for Farmers and Peatlands for more information.
