Rabo Share4More donates €10,000 to the victims in Nepal
Following the devastating earthquake in Nepal, there is a great need for assistance for the basic needs of the victims. The disaster took thousands of lives and left a trail of devastation.
Help through Giro 555
As Nepal is not a focus country of Rabo Share4More, we do not have a network to facilitate financial assistance in Nepal at this time. In order to be able to help the people in Nepal, Share4More is calling colleagues to make a contribution via the national relief organization Giro 555. Rabo Share4More itself, adds a donation of €10.000 to that. Help is greatly appreciated.
Emergency relief operations by Share4More
Rabo Share4More was launched following the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami. Having started out as a relief operation, the initiative has since grown into a professional fund for sustainable projects, although we remain involved in humanitarian aid efforts.
Any time a disaster occurs in any of Rabobank Foundation’s operating countries (26 countries), we check with our partners in the disaster area to establish the immediate needs of the local population and explore opportunities to finance their plans for reconstruction. Share4More is able to provide highly specific aid this way and can monitor developments over an extended period of time. An example of a recent disaster is Typhoon Haiyan, which devastated parts of the Philippines in 2013.
We want to thank all colleagues who have already made a contribution for the support. Also Share4More has contributed €10.000 to the victims in Nepal.
