10th anniversary

Jasper van Schaik, Global Head of Trade & Commodity Finance at Rabobank: "This award is a wonderful recognition of our activities in global commodities trade. Only 10 years ago we started with a team specifically for the commodity trade and that we are recognised as a global leader now is of course a fantastic result. It's a signal that our strong customer focus, our industry knowledge and our service given by professionals at 12 locations around the world is now being assessed by customers as the top in the industry."

Turbulent markets

Van Schaik is convinced that the many years of intensive cooperation with clients is the basis of success. "The market has been turbulent for some time. Prices of raw materials are under pressure as crops fail, climate changes affect the harvest, but also on overproduction and low oil prices. All this translates into challenging market conditions in which we see it as our responsibility to guide our clients through it as well as possible. Right now it is crucial to be able to look through the cycle, but also to stand by our clients. Through our expertise, knowledge and networks we hope to make a meaningful contribution to the continued success of our customers. This recognition supports not only that we are proven successful; it is also stimulating us to continue doing what our customers expect from us."
