How to alter your MiFID classification. The following only applies to clients who do business with Rabobank International London Branch:
In accordance with the MiFID requirements we have classified you as either an Eligible Counterparty or a Professional Client. You may request to opt up or opt down to another classification level. This request must be made in writing stating your reasons for requesting the change.
Your opting request should be written on official headed company paper and should include
the following information:
- Date of request,
- your full legal entity name,
- the registered company address,
- the name and position of the authorised person signing the letter,
- the name of your Rabobank Account
Manager, - your Rabobank Account number (if you have one),
- your current MiFID classification,
- your requested MiFID classification and the reasons for your opting request.
Your opting request should always be signed by an authorised signatory.
We would like to warn you that opting up from Professional Client to Eligible Counterparty
or from Retail Client to Professional Client will result in you losing certain regulatory
protections.

However, Rabobank International is under no obligation to agree to a client’s request and all requests are subject to the acceptance criteria detailed in the MiFID.
