Lease cars constitute a spearhead of Rabobank’s mobility policy. As of 1 April 2005 Rabobank employees are encouraged to choose from relatively fuel-efficient lease cars. Approximately 5,600 Rabobank employees had a lease car at the end of 2007.

Employees of Rabobank Nederland are only allowed to select cars that have been given energy label A, B or C. The label states the fuel consumption, the CO2 emissions and the relative fuel economy. These figures are compared to those of comparable models. Lease cars that produce an above-average level of pollution do not meet the criteria of the allocation policy and may not be selected.

For employees who choose to lease diesel cars: these now come standard fitted with a soot filter.
