The Mid-Caps Division (Grootbedrijf) concentrates on Dutch companies that operate in the segment with annual turnover of between € 30 million and € 250 million. The division manages the larger and more complex corporate clients of the local member banks on their behalf. The Mid-Caps Division consequently operates at a juncture with Corporate Clients Netherlands conducting the strategic relationship management and the local member banks carrying out the actual service. This requires a high level of discipline in order to successfully fulfill agreements and respect each other’s position and objectives.
The strategic relationship managers and the product specialists are located in nine regional teams. These regional teams include specialists from various fields including Financial Logistics, Treasury, Corporate Insurance, Corporate Finance, International Finance and Public Sector. The teams can naturally also leverage the expertise and specialised competences of other Rabobank Group divisions, including the real estate division. To illustrate, the Mid-Caps Division maintains excellent working relationships with De Lage Landen/Athlon for leasing, with Schretlen & Co and Sarasin for private banking and with divisions like FGH, Rapar and Rabo Securities for other specialised services.
The regional teams rely heavily on the Industry Knowledge Team covering sectors, companies and issues producing great added value to business development ideas, pitches and strategic discussions.

The Mid-Caps Division also has two centralised teams. One team is responsible for closing and managing franchise arrangements with large national corporates that have a network of smaller local or regional businesses/franchisers. The Mid-Caps Franchise Arrangements Division negotiates the terms and conditions of the local services for these parties on behalf of the local member banks. The second team is the Public Sector team that carries out the sector management for the Rabo services provided to the entire chain, which includes approximately 30% of all mid-cap companies in the Netherlands. This strategic relationship management role is carried out by sector specialists and a group of specialised credit analysts.
The Mid-Caps Division is the largest business unit within CCN with almost 300 FTE’s.
