Proof of performance: HatchTech
HatchTech discovered that fertilised chicken eggs only need to be incubated for four hours. So much energy is released after this period of time that the embryos even have to be cooled in order to achieve ideal embryo and chick development. With the support of the Rabo Innovatiekapitaalfonds this discovery has turned HatchTech into one of the fastest-growing companies in the Netherlands.

Deal in a nutshell
HatchTech’s most important technological innovation related to the active measurement and management of the optimum temperature for embryos and chicks. The related products needed to be introduced to the world market as quickly as possible in order to ensure that the competition did not catch up with HatchTech before the product was introduced.
The Rabo Innovatiekapitaalfonds took on a partnership role and helped HatchTech realise rapid growth and keep ahead of the competition.
Rabobank Lisse, which acquired the financing of HatchTech from ABN AMRO in early 2003, Rabo Innovatiekapitaalfonds B.V. and HatchTech.
