iDEAL

iDEAL was introduced on 4 October 2005. iDEAL is a safe and convenient payment method on the internet. All the major Dutch banks are participating in this product. Internet retailers are convinced that iDEAL will lead to a sharp increase in their internet sales.

iDEAL enables your customers to pay for their purchases directly on the internet. Just one mouse-click and iDEAL brings them to their trusted internet banking environment. Rabobank, ABN AMRO, ING Bank and Postbank have jointly developed iDEAL. All the internet banking customers of the participating banks can use the system. iDEAL will replace Rabo Direct Payment that was exclusively available to Rabobank customers.

Why Rabobank

  • More than half of the 5 million consumers who use internet banking in the Netherlands bank with Rabobank.  
  • The fee for transactions between two Rabobank accounts is lower than the interbank fee. You consequently save 10 eurocents on each transaction!  
  • A link to your internet site will be listed on the iDEAL Shopping Centre. Visitors can click directly from the Shopping Centre to your web shop.   
  • Rabobank will credit payments directly to your account. You consequently do not lose any interest.  
  • Rabobank is offering URLinked free of charge until 1 October 2006. URLinked enables your customers to click directly to your website from their transaction overview in Rabo Internet Banking.
