Gerlinde Silvis (1959) joined Rabobank in 1984. She began working for Rabobank Nederland as a management trainee while completing her degree in German language and literature. She then went on to hold a number of positions within the securities division, the international division, the payments division and Rabofacet. She was involved in the inception of the successful website www.rabobank.nl, which has become one of Rabobank’s most important sales channels. In her role as Head of Administrative Affairs, she was closely engaged in the process of merging local member banks.
In recent years, she has served as Head of the Management and Talent Development Directorate (MTD). In the past year, Gerlinde Silvis has been responsible for merging the Human Resources and Management and Talent Development directorates into a single directorate that unites all the Human Resources activities for the selection, appointment and development of employees. This has created a directorate that provides integrated HR services, management development and training programmes for the entire group, the local member banks, Rabobank International and Rabobank Nederland. Gerlinde Silvis is married and the mother of four children.
