Over the past 25 years, U.S. consumers have nearly doubled their consumption of fresh table grapes. Increases in production, quality, shelf life, and availability have shifted table grapes from a specialty seasonal fruit to a common item in the American diet. Domestic consumption is expected to rise, due to the consumers' strive to buck the obesity trend.
