Robusta coffee in Brazil
Brazilian Robusta coffee growers are riding a wave of high international prices, growing domestic consumption and increasing yields. Research institutions and cooperatives have been contributing to growers’ long-term viability. However, with other Robusta-producing countries also improving crop care and with global production likely to increase in coming years, greater production may dampen prices. With this in mind, now might be a good time for sector participants to make the necessary adjustments in order to prepare for future market downturns.
