Rabobank announces the start-ups invited to pitch at the first FoodBytes! event of 2018. As well as mentoring for the winners, Foodbytes! offers all participants the opportunity to meet Rabobank's supportive network.
Over 145 start-ups from around the world applied to pitch at Foodbytes! San Francisco this year. The 20 finalists include a company analyzing the soil microbiome, another disrupting the fish oil supplement industry, and one tackling farm labor shortages with fruit-picking robots.
210 seconds that count
The start-ups are ranked according to criteria including sustainability, traction and innovation. The 10 highest ranked companies have 3.5 minutes to pitch their concept on March 1. The remainder has 1.5 minutes.
Investors, entrepreneurs and media will be present on March 1- #FoodBytes
The expert judging panel includes industry leaders Justin Gold of Justin’s, Ashley Koff, CEO of The Better Nutrition Program, and Russell Forester, Senior Vice President of The Hain Celestial Group. Winners gain sponsorship and mentoring by industry experts.
