Rabobank at Dutch Business Mission to Singapore: Exploring Semiconductor Growth Opportunities in Southeast Asia
From 20–22 May 2025, Rabobank joined a high-level Dutch trade mission to Singapore, held in conjunction with SEMICON Southeast Asia 2025—one of the region’s leading platforms for the semiconductor and photonics industries. The mission brought together 29 Dutch companies and over 60 participants, showcasing the Netherlands’ global leadership in advanced technologies and fostering cross-border collaboration.
Representing Rabobank were Jos van Rooij, Wholesale Relationship Banker from Rabobank Wholesale Europe & Africa, and Mathijs de Boer from the International Desk Asia. Their participation underscored Rabobank’s commitment to supporting Dutch and international network clients in expanding their presence in Southeast Asia’s dynamic high-tech sector.
The mission featured insightful site visits to leading industry players such as KLA and Bronkhorst, highlighting opportunities for innovation and growth. A key highlight was the official opening of the Dutch Pavilion—the largest on the exhibition floor—by Minister of Economic Affairs Dirk Beljaarts, followed by the signing of two strategic MoUs between Dutch and Singaporean innovation ecosystems.

The delegation also attended a reception hosted by H.E. Anneke Adema, Ambassador of the Netherlands to Singapore & Brunei, and visited a valued Dutch client’s new facility—an inspiring example of ambition and technological advancement.
Rabobank’s involvement in this mission reflects our strategic focus on Southeast Asia as a key growth region for high-tech industries. We remain dedicated to being a trusted financial partner, enabling innovation, international expansion, and long-term partnerships that shape the future of the global economy.
