The General Members' Council of Rabobank has reappointed Marjan Trompetter as Chair of the Supervisory Board for a final two-year term. In addition, Brian Hirman and Bart Zegers have been appointed as members of the Supervisory Board, effective September 17, 2025.

Reappointment of Marjan Trompetter as Chair of the Supervisory Board

Marjan Trompetter is the well-respected and highly-trusted Chair of both the Supervisory Board and the General Members’ Council. Her impact has been pivotal to Rabobank’s transformation in recent years, thanks to her deep understanding of the cooperative governance, particularly within Rabobank’s unique structure.

Known for her energizing, people-focused, and optimistic style, she combines strategic oversight with a sharp eye for detail. Her leadership has been, among others, essential in shaping the composition and culture of the Managing Board, contributing to a more customer-oriented, international, and future-focused direction.

Appointment of Brian Hirman and Bart Zegers

To further strengthen the Supervisory Board and reinforce its connection to Rabobank’s local banks and cooperative governance, two new members have been appointed. Both bring complementary experience and perspectives, enriching the Supervisory Board’s diversity and strategic insight.

Brian Hirman is an entrepreneur with extensive experience as an investor and CEO in marketing and digital industries. He has held various roles within Rabobank, including Chair of the Supervisory Board of Rabobank Amsterdam and member of the General Members’ Council. His board positions at Hydraloop and City Heating Purmerend reflect his focus on sustainability, whereas his international business experience and engagement with youth and SMEs are expected to contribute to the Supervisory Board’s strategic discussions.

Bart Zegers is co-CEO of Wiltec Group, where he has led digital and sustainable transitions. He has been involved in Rabobank’s cooperative governance since 2011, including roles in the local Members’ Council, local Supervisory Board, and as Chair of a Kring. His recent role as Chair of the Governance Evaluation Committee highlights his commitment to cooperative development and representation of local banks.

After these appointments, the Supervisory Board of Rabobank consists of Marjan Trompetter (Chair), Johan van Hall (Vice-Chair), Sandra Berendsen, Driek Desmet, Miriam van Dongen, Matthew Elderfield, Brian Hirman, Gail Klintworth, Mark Pensaert, and Bart Zegers.
