The market in southern Europe is delivering mixed signals for cold chain operators.
According to Matteo Iagatti, F&A supply chains analyst: "This has proved a catalyst for cold chain services demand growth in Spain and Portugal. In Italy, the combined effect of the trends in domestic perishable food demand and trade provided less impulse to the cold chain sector. Cold chain companies have shown different strategies for dealing with these market signals."
