Cas Bonsema is part of the Credit Strategy & Regulation team and covers European financials. He specializes in the senior unsecured and (hybrid) capital part of the debt capital stack, combining a top-down and a bottom-up approach, with a particular focus on Benelux banks. Besides market developments, he also covers regulation of banks across Europe.

Prior to covering Financials, Cas was the Senior analyst covering Asset-Backed Securities (ABS) and covered bonds. Before joining Rabobank in 2018, Cas was junior fund manager asset allocation at BMO Global Asset Management. As part of the Fiduciary Investment team, he serviced institutional clients, mainly Dutch pension funds.

Cas holds a master’s degree in Finance (with honors) from the University of Groningen. He passed his CFA Level I exam in June 2018 and his CFA Level II exam in June 2019.
