Rabobank today published its European Green Bond (EuGB) Factsheet, marking an important step in its sustainable funding strategy and positioning the Bank for potential future issuances under the European Green Bond Standard.
The EuGB Factsheet complements Rabobank’s existing Sustainable Funding Framework, which is aligned with the ICMA Green Bond Principles. It’s introduction reflects evolving market standards and further strengthens Rabobank’s sustainable funding capabilities.
Under the EuGB Factsheet, proceeds may be allocated exclusively to residential mortgages that are fully aligned with the EU Taxonomy. The Sustainable Funding Framework supports the financing and refinancing of a broader range of sustainable economic activities. Together, the Factsheet and the Sustainable Funding Framework offer investors a range of sustainable investment opportunities while supporting the transition to a more sustainable economy.
Rabobank has been active in the sustainable funding market since 2016 and has established a strong track record across a diverse range of green funding instruments, including covered bonds, senior unsecured bonds, subordinated bonds and money market instruments.
