The ECB's doves don't have a solid case for another rate cut

When the ECB’s policymakers meet next week, they can reflect on the impact of the trade deals between the US and EU, as well as other countries. President Lagarde recently said the trade agreement had “considerably reduced” uncertainty. Yet, the views in the ECB’s Governing Council appear to have diverged further. As a result, the ECB will probably leave monetary policy unchanged, while keeping its options for future adjustments open.
